I am very pleased that I moved forward with having Kent assist me with my resume update. I purchased the Toolkit and am very pleased with everything. I worked with Kent in April of 2011. At the time, I needed a job. I got my resume, was very pleased and didn’t think much more about it. Now, I am working and preparing to compete for a promotion. It’s set to be a complicated and competitive process. Over the weekend, I sat down to put together my materials and to brainstorm my strategy. Doing so, I realized just how much the process of my resume rewrite helped. Almost a year later, I finally got what Kent was saying. I wanted to note in addition to what I said above that Kent is active on job / career forums giving free and helpful advice to people who are struggling. That is how I came across him. I guess my bigger point is that he does so with no mention of the fact that this is how he makes his living. There is no expectation or pressure to retain his services. Only when I asked for professional help did another forum member clue me regarding Kent’s work. That’s a class act and an indication of how dedicated he is to his profession.
I was one of those people who was totally flustered over the thought of having to update my resume after 8 years. Through a series of progressively targeted questions, Kent masterfully molded everything I threw at him. Thoroughly impressed with the process and the result.

There really are two ways to do things in life… the right way and the wrong way. This process, although not easy, is the right way to do your resume (and precisely for the reason that it is not easy). One’s career is a very serious thing that should not be taken lightly.
Thorough, helpful and expert are the three things that come to mind when I reflect on my experience. It really is not “simple” as Kent says with the best of intentions on the homepage. But that’s a very good thing.
